The following information provides the essential information needed to navigate the Enterra Entrust® Clinician Programmer.
Landing Screen
What does “Shelf Mode” mean?
If the IPG is new out of the box, it will be in a low-power state, also referred to as “Shelf Mode”. After the Clinician Programmer connects to the IPG for the first time, the IPG will no longer be in Shelf Mode.
Navigation Panel Overview
How do I navigate the different functions in the app?
The navigation panel provides access to the app menus and programming functions. Tap the desired icon to navigate to the screen for that function. By default, the navigation panel is in a collapsed state and shows the icons only. To expand the navigation panel and show the icon descriptions, tap 
at the top of the panel. Tap it again to collapse the panel.
General Information
How do I turn stimulation to the IPG On and Off?
To turn stimulation to the IPG On or Off, refer to the title bar at the top of the screen. The title bar displays the name of the active screen and provides access to the IPG stimulation On/Off toggle button. When turning stimulation On or Off, a confirmation pop-up dialog box will display. Tap Turn On Stimulation or Turn Off Stimulation as appropriate.
How do I exit the app when I am finished with a programming session?
On the navigation panel, tap the End Session icon 
and then tap End Session on the confirmation pop-up dialog box.
How do I contact Enterra Medical for assistance?
On the navigation panel, tap the About icon, and the company contact information, application firmware, and software version are displayed.
Patient Demographics Screen
How do I edit the various fields in the Patient Demographics screen?
- For an existing patient, first confirm that the information matches your records.
- To edit a field, tap the field and either a keyboard or a calendar will pop up as appropriate. An asterisk indicates a required field.
- Any grayed-out field cannot be edited.
- Tap Save then tap OK.
What should I do if I see a warning stating that the device has entered Safe Mode?
- If you receive a notice that the device has entered Safe Mode, please contact Enterra Medical for assistance. Safe Mode indicates that the IPG is in an error state and will not allow stimulation to be turned on and will not allow changes to the IPG settings.
Status and Diagnostics Screen
How do I measure the system’s impedance?
- To measure the Enterra Ascent® System impedance, navigate to the Status and Diagnostics screen by tapping the
icon and then tap Measure Impedance. All measurements will then be displayed. If all impedances are within range, a green checkmark appears next to each value confirming that the values are within a safe range. If a value is out of range, a caution symbol will be displayed. A lighting bolt icon 
identifies the currently active electrodes.
How do I check the battery status of the IPG?
- To check the IPG battery status, tap the Status and Diagnostics icon on the navigation panel. The remaining battery capacity percentage is displayed.
- When the battery capacity depletes to a certain level, an Elective Replacement Indicator (ERI) will appear recommending that a replacement surgery be scheduled soon.
Programming Screen
How do I measure the system’s impedance?
Navigate to the Programming screen by tapping the 
icon and then tap Measure Impedance. The measurement for the active electrodes will then be displayed. If the impedance is within range, a green checkmark appears next to the value confirming it is within a safe range. If the value is out of range, a caution symbol will be displayed.
What IPG settings are on the Programming Screen?
To edit a field, tap the field and select the appropriate setting from the dropdown menu.
Below is a list of editable fields:
- Current
- Frequency
- Pulse Width
- Cycle On/Off Time
- Electrode 1
- Electrode 2
- Case
Please note that the Electrode Configuration is located at the bottom of the screen.
How do I save or reset the IPG parameter settings?
To save and implement IPG setting changes, tap Program IPG.
To reset the IPG settings to the most recent programmed settings before you save any changes, tap Clear Changes. To reset the IPG settings to the IPG’s default settings, tap Reset to Nominal.
Programming History Screen
How do I view past programming sessions?
Tap the Programming History icon 
on the navigation panel. This screen displays the 80 most recent programming sessions; the most recent session is displayed at the top of the screen.
Please note that this screen is view-only and cannot be edited.
Reports
How do I generate and review a programming session report?
On the navigation panel, tap the Reports icon 
to navigate to the Reports screen. To generate one or more reports, tap the desired Generate report or Export button. When the report is generated, you have three options: close the dialog box, view the report, and open the Downloads folder, which is where the report is stored.
Can I save a copy of a report to a separate device?
Yes, you can transfer a copy of a report to a compatible USB drive from the Downloads folder.
What if I forget the Report’s password?
In the event that you forget the password, you can generate a new password by tapping the Set New Password button at the bottom of the Reports screen. Reports under the previous password will no longer be accessible. To access those reports, please contact Enterra Medical for assistance.
